Have I killed my cemetery tree?
in Plants
Plumeria obtusa or jamaicensis. It's called cemetery tree in Singapore and Jamaica apparently. It's also known as white frangipani, though it has no scent It was getting too tall so I was hoping to cut it back and get it to bush out, but I was horrified to discover the branches were naturally hollow and it is not resprouting, though there is some low growth that was there before I chopped it. Plan B is to take a cutting of the low growth. This will take an age, however.
Everyone likes butterflies. Nobody likes caterpillars.

It looks like cuttings are the best way to go.

There's some information here about pruning, although it is perhaps too late 🙁
