Hydrangea

My hydrangeas have wilted despite watering .  Some have lost their leaves  and some very crispy. Do I cut them back or just live in hope?

Water well and leave any pruning until Spring.

Give them a bucketful at a time rather than a daily dribble so the water gets down deep.  They should recover.   As @punkdoc says, leave pruning till spring when they start to green up again and you can identify stems that have not recovered.
