Seeds to grow on moss covered roof

I have an old garage which we have renovated.  The roof is structurally sound and mostly covered in moss.  Are there any seeds I can throw on it to make it look better?
 Thank you

    I doubt it.
You might be able to get sempervivums [house leeks] to naturalise, but you'd probably need to remove the moss. If it's shady, hence the moss, that may not be viable.
An alternative is to do a green roof. Have you heard of those?
It's a way of making garage or shed roofs etc, more attractive, and also provides habitat for insects and pollinators.  :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

There are a few sedum species that will live happily alongside moss on roofs. You can just throw handfuls of cuttings up there and they'll sort themselves out. Petrosedum reflexum should do well and will have nice yellow flowers. Sedum album might be ok if the light levels are bright enough. There's photos of similar things here https://forum.gardenersworld.com/discussion/1025599/a-natural-green-roof/p1
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
  • Thank you very much, this is just what I imagined it could look like
