Happy 20 year old ivy suddenly not so happy and keeps dying

    Just wondered if it has left marks on your brick work? They are nice bricks[I collect bricks but that is another story as they say] and Ivy marks are difficult to remove.
    I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.

    Agree with @Dovefromabove. Over the years it has grown bigger, exhausted all the soil nutrients and water and will continue to struggle, unless you can improve the conditions.

    No brick marks at all from the ivy. Which type actually leave marks?
