Brown leaves on silver birch

My young silver birch has brown leaves, I thought it was the hot weather but they seem to have squiggles on them, so is this a pest? There are also ants in the tree - is this something to worry about?

Looks like the work of a leaf miner of some sort.
I doubt it'll cause any real damage.

I don't think it's anything to worry about but wild edges might tell us more.

Leaf mining probably carried out by the larvae/maggot of a fly. Will do little damage, just another piece of biodiversity.
