Nemesia pruning

B3B3 Posts: 27,505
My nemesia could do with tidying up.
Do I just cut off the seed heads ( most have just one flower at the top) or do I go further down into the stems?
Will they flower again this year if I prune them?

I’ve deadheaded mine yesterday by cutting the flower stem at the point where it branches out lower down. It should flower again, especially if watered and fed.

😊 I’ve attached a photo, in case it makes more sense.

    That's great. Thanks @pitter-patter. I wasn't absolutely sure😊

@B3 I would normally dead head them as each one went over. I found two on the bargain table at the local Garden Centre for £1.00 four weeks ago. Potted on and dead headed they are looking good.
I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.

Not much in flower here so I've let them go for longer than I should have. I'll give them a good haircut now that I know what to do😊
