Tree ID please

This tree is growing in a  neighbours garden, right against my sisters fence and over the roof of her garden room. She can't get at the overgrowth to trim it. Any idea what it is please?

I agree ... a great tree for wildlife if you have several acres ... not for a 'normal' garden.

  • It belongs to my sister's neighbour. My sister detests the tree!

Is it anywhere near the neighbour's foundations, pipes or drains?  She might change her mind about it if she knew that it's a type of willow and its roots will search out any moisture ... causing all sorts of problems.  A lot of folk don't realise it's a willow because the leaves are so different to most other willows ... but that's what it is.

  • Thanks @Dovefromabove. The tree touches the neighbour's extension which is used as an office. My sister will let them know what they've inherited from the previous owner.

Their Buildings Insurance may well be quite insistent about getting rid of it if they find out it's there ....
