Another quandary

This plant keeps firing seed pods at me. They are small and very hard and hurt if they get you in the right place.
I think the flowers were yellow.
can anyone tell me what this unfriendly plant is please.

    They look like alstromeria seed pods.

    I want one for the front garden, maybe everyone would use the flippin' path then instead of tramping across the garden.

    Yes alstromeria, if you deadhead them regularly by gently pulling and removing at the base you will get more flowers.. If you want to pick them use the same method. One of my favourites is Indian Summer.
    I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.
