Long flowering Geranium

Is there a lighter coloured (white to light pink  ideally) Hardy Geranium that will compete with Rozanne in terms of the length of time it is in flower?
Thanks.

I think Geranium wallichianum 'Crystal Lake' looks quite promising, being from similar stock as 'Rozanne'. Geranium versicolor might be worth looking at, too; it should flower for a long time but not quite as consistently as Rozanne.

There is a sport of Rozanne called Lilac Ice which has pale lavender-pink flowers. Could fit the bill perfectly as it’s meant to be equally long flowering. I have been meaning to try it for a while..

@Nollie - looks a good one for front of border too.

Exactly where I was thinking of putting it Alf. If you do try it, please report back!

I grow many different hardy geraniums but for some reason - no idea why - all 3 Lilac Ice's just turned up their toes and died. Most others are very reliable - including Rozanne.

Apart from Rozanne, Brookside, and Orion (all purpley / blues) the other most reliable long-flowerers are Anne Thompson (magenta - better behaved than Ann Folkard but still scrambles through other plants) and the rather horrid bright pink endressii. I have the endressii in a couple of out of sight areas where nothing else grows because, although I really don't like the colour, it's pretty good ground cover.

I do, however, have a few bits of an endressii type (possibly a sport) which is a very pale pink. I got a couple of clumps from a friend who said "It's just that weedy common one" but it's a much nicer more subtle pale shell-pink. It's not as vigorous as the shocking pink one, it's shorter and doesn't seed around but it's pretty good under roses and other shrubs. Might be worth looking out for.

Geranium oxonianium Susie White. In a normal Summer (ie with occasional rain), I find it flowers for many months, if deadheaded regularly.  Right now mine is not looking great, but then not many of my perennials are (after 2 months of no rain).

Oh that’s interesting @Topbird, various sites say it’s not as vigorous as Rozanne but I assumed that meant better-behaved not dead! It apparently also needs good drainage and light shade, I had it in mind for the front of an east-facing raised bed.

Clay soil probably didn't suit it @Nollie. I'm sure it would be ok if it's put into well cultivated / improved clay with some grit and given some TLC but I'm afraid geraniums are plants I expect to fend for themselves and 90% do.

@KeenOnGreen - now I've seen some pics, it may be ox. Susie White that I have. It's a nice little doer🙂
