A question about feeding

in Plants
I'm not very good at feeding plants, am trying to improve this! I bought some blood, fish and bone and it sounds to me like this is best for the ground, not stuff in pots. Should I be trying to get it in now or is it best to wait until autumn when I have better access to the soil? I don't see how I can get it properly incorporated if there are plants in the way.

It takes a few weeks for it to start working as it needs to be broken down by soil bacteria.
You can spread more around June time.
Not much point in putting fertilizer down in autumn as the plants will be going to sleep so it's not needed.
Seaweed extract (and/or seaweed meal) can be used in the same way and it provides micronutrients that give plants a boost and helps to keep them healthy.
I buy 25Kg bags of BFB and seaweed meal.
In spring I fill a bucket with BFB and generally just chuck it around the borders.
Unlike inorganic fertilizers it won't burn leaves or stems, but best done on a cloudy day ideally when rain (remember that stuff??) is due
Same goes for seaweed meal

Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit.
Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad.
OK thanks, I'll hold off until spring then, and maybe get some seaweed too.
