Penstemon or gaura?

B3B3 Posts: 27,505
I took this cutting last year and as usual, didn't  label it.
Is it a penstemon  or a gaura  ?
I think it might be a white penstemon  but maybe  not.
To anyone  who thinks all peat free is rubbish, this chap was a few inches high  last year.

It looks like a penstemon to me.

@B3. Did you do your penstemon cuttings in water?
    Always works for me.

Thanks @B3. I used peatfree compost from HB this year for some of my tomatoes. Unfortunately that compost was weedkiller contaminated. Next year, I'll go for sylvagrow.

I've found the bags consistent and pleasant to use  - this year. Hopefully next year will be as good.

If they want it to catch on I think they need to bring the price down,  they leave an ingredient out and charge 5 times as much for it.
Looking on the net I can buy 5 bags of something else at the GC for the price of one of those.
If I went to the place Melcourt recommended it would do more harm in pollution that buying form my local GC.  Its a day trip.
There must be some very rich people ,  maybe it’s just me but I couldn’t spend that on a bag of compost.
