Can I plant my rose

Should I wait til my rose is dormant or can I plant into the garden while the soil is warm?, Was bought from a supermarket and put straight into its pot in the picture

I would wait until the rains return. It looks like many areas are about to go into a hose pipe ban. The soil will should be easier to dig in Oct/Nov

I too would keep it in a pot til we get some rain - much easier to keep it watered in a pot - which you might need to do once a day in the hot spell that’s coming

Same here, keep it in the pot, keep it watered. Potted roses can be planted anytime. I often buy bare rooted roses in winter when they are cheap, just heel them in a bit of empty ground and wait for spring for the final planting
