Tree Peony not flowering

historymanhistoryman Posts: 141
I have a 5 year old Tree Peony, lovely bush, but it has never flowered. It is in a very sunny position. Any ideas why it is not flowering?

  • We have Paeonia ludlowii. For many years it didn't flower. On a garden visit a member told us to give it some wood ash around the base in late winter/early spring. Coincidence or not....it flowered and has done for every year since. Maybe yours is still too young but don't give up on it.
