Hello,
I have a tree on the outside boundary of my garden, can anyone identify the fruit please ?

All the sloes around here are dark blue now - they're rock hard.
If you could cut one in half and show us what's inside that would help and include something in the pic so we can get an idea of the size of the fruits

Some photos of the leaves might be helpful too.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

They don't look like sloes to me. There's blackthorn all over the place here but I've never seen anything that colour. The shape's not right, either.

    No those aren’t sloes.
They’re probably a wild cherry plum  … but they look to me as if they’re rotting.
