Problem solving

A toad has taken up residence outside in a pot of ornamental grass....I don't have a pond ....so I water him/her regularly! Any advice?

    Continue as now if its happy, or take it to a pond?

    They spend most of their time in damp shady spots, rather than in ponds as such, so don't worry too much. 
    However, if you can put a saucer, or tray, of water somewhere, that will enable him/her to use it when needed, as well as other insects and birds etc. I used to use a seed tray for that when I moved in here and the garden didn't exist. It was well used until I got the pond in place  :)
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    Many thanks for your helpful comments....I'm delighted to have him/ her in the garden and will make sure there is always water nearby!

    As long as he can get a drink, they only need ponds or deeper water to spawn in.
