Thornproof gardening clogs

We have a lot of hawthorn hedges. After cutting them there’s always some twigs left on the ground and the thorns will go through our rubber/plastic gardening clogs. I have some heavy duty work shoes from screwfix that have a steel midsole but I’d like to find that level of protection in a slip on clog. I’ve been thinking that  a traditional wooden clog would do it but I remember having some years ago and they weren’t very comfortable. Has anyone found a comfortable thornproof clog?
