Ash tree

I have an Ash tree in my garden. A neighbour informed me that someone they had asked to do work told them it was dieseased. The tree looks fine, full of leaves, canit look healty and be dieseased?

As my dear late Mother would have said
" Never trouble trouble, until trouble troubles you "
If it looks healthy, it probably IS healthy.

I agree with Hostafan, I think it would show if it wasn't healthy.

I would hazard a guess that the neighbour would like the tree cut down if that isn't too cynical a view.

  • I had an enormous ash tree in my garden which looked perfectly healthy until a large branch came crashing down in the middle of the night into my neighbour's garden. Turns out it had heart rot. Fortunately the only casualty was the neighbour's fence, a couple of feet to the right and it'd have crashed straight into their back bedroom where their baby was sleeping.

I'd get an arborist/tree surgeon to take a look at it to find out whether it's diseased or whether your neighbour is trying to BS you.
