Cherry tree recommendation

Cecelia-LCecelia-L Posts: 120
I am looking for a suitable alternative to Prunus Globosum, which is a dwarf lolipop like cherry tree.

Do you have any favourite cherry trees? Can it tolerate clay soil?

Thanks

Are you looking for fruiting or ornamental?

Well, I have a Snow Goose, just coming to the end of its life and I think it is one of the most beautiful of the cherries. Pure white - as you would expect - and single flowered, it is the very essence of Spring in my garden.

If you are looking for a shorter tree, many are Top Worked at various heights.
Last autumn i planted a Snow Showers TW at 100cm.

I'm not too keen on the 'lollipop' shape, and intend to let the branches reach the ground and spread out a bit.
