Honeysuckle disease?

Since my evergreen honeysuckle has started blooming the leaves have developed white spots on them, they then turn dusty, dry and drop off. Is this usual behaviour? I'm wondering if it's got some kind of airborne disease.

Mildew. They're plants which need a lot of water, some shade, and a lot of room for the root systems. They aren't great for pots or containers I'm afraid. Tricky to keep them hydrated. There are a couple of smaller varieties, but they'd still need a big container to do well.

Mine affected similarly, but it is in the ground and in a shady position. Watered copiously too. I've just cut it all back and will hope for regeneration in due course. 😊
