Rust and mould on plants

Bought 2 weeks ago 6 healthy dwarf Gold Rod plants they have now all developed mould and look as though they have had it?
Malva Moschita - I have grown this plant for many years, no problems - this year they have developed rust on leaves?
Any suggestions/help please  thanks

The weather has been stressing plants due to the severity of heat, prolonged strong sun and lack of rain.
The stress weakens plants allowing various pathogens to take up residence.

Seaweed extract is a good tonic for all plants - it won't get rid of the rust or mould (mildew?) but it will help plants recover. Use 1/2 strength for sick plants.

Both are caused by fungal spores.
Rust is one of those things that just happens.
Mildew (if that is what it is) is usually associated with inconsistent watering.

If you can look after the plants as best you can, they may not look great this year, but should pop up again next year rust and mould free.
