Tortrix moth larvae

Has anyone else had a problem with these this year? I've had them on Eupatorium, Dahlias, Sanguisorba, and Persicaria, worse than I can remember. Is there anything you can do about them? Unfortunately by the time I spot the curled up leaves, it's too late.

    Yes I think I do. Was just looking at my fig this morning and wondering what they were and why they are so bad this year. The entire plant is covered.

    I read online that Xentari could be effective (usually used for box moth caterpillar).

    I have loads in the garden this year, Honeysuckle is covered and my four new Ceanothus have had all the new, soft growing tips curled and eaten.

    The Honeysuckles are big enough to shrug it off, but not sure if the Ceanothus will.

    I'm checking the Ceanothus daily and gently easing the stuck tips apart and squishing the caterpillars.
