Antipodean identification?

A 5” stick in the same pot that I got a tree fern in a couple of years ago, is now a 4ft single stem sapling with two distinctly different leaf shapes growing on each branch. Does anybody know what it is please? Thanks in advance…

    The ferny leaves look very like my Acacia dealbata, but I don't know about the other leaf type. Mine is kept in a pot so may not have developed mature foliage, if that is different, but I don't know.

    Acacia was another on our possibilities list; but the two distinct different leaf shapes is confusing us.

    I wonder if this is a grafted chimera? Is there any sign of a graft onto the root stock?
    If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

    no grafting. It was a tiny seedling that came in the pot with the dicksonia.
