Plants in a terrible state after heatwave

Hope you are well

During the recent heatwave my plants have suffered as per the attached photos. My hydrangea, japanese anemone, clematis, roses, lavender, potato plants Should I leave them to recover, cut them down to the ground accept that they will not recover. Would appreciate any advice.

Blessings to you

No real surprise after the temps we've had.  Why not look at each individual plant and see what obviously dead stems there are which could be removed along with the dead flower heads and keep well watered where and when needed.
You seem to have plenty of green in your pics except for the poor soul in the pot which looks pretty well ex.

I think the roses, hydrangea and anemone l would give a watering can full to each oncd a week.
With the roses l'd take off any yellow leaves or leaves with black spot (also pick up any dead leaves from the soil).
I agree, l think the lavender in the pot has had it, sorry.
