Smelly growbag compost

Hello, I have bought a growbag watering tray and used it for the first time with greenhouse tomatoe plants. The plants are growing and cropping well so far, but I have noticed the smell in my greenhouse is becoming obnoxious. Could this be because the growbag compost is constantly wet or is it because I add too rite to the water reservoir twice weekly.

    Permanently wet compost can cause plant roots to rot, due to lack of oxygen, accompanied by an unpleasant smell.  See if you can elevate your growbag so that it drains properly and empty the tray when it's full of water.

    Thanks for your post, but the idea of this watering system is that the growbag fits snugly on top of the water tray which holds approx 10 lots of water and three wicks on plastic spikes pierce the underside of the bag, allowing the plants to use as much liquid as they require. Seemed to work perfectly but now the smell is offputting..
