Can anyone id this plant for me

Thia plant is about 3 foot high, about to flower with very serrated leaves

    Cannot see detail very clearly...have turned and trimmed your pic.
    Maybe Artemisia vulgaris...common name mugwort.

    Yes I think it is Artimesia. I have grown A Lactiflora Guizhou?
    I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.

    It looks like tanacetum, to me. Will be easier to ID when it flowers. 🙂

    I agree with @Silver surfer, I'm pretty sure it's Artemisia Vulgaris.
    Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

    Definitely not tanacetum (tansy).
    Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

    Thanks for all your suggestions I did think that it was Artemisia vulgaris...common name mugwort but it does not have any scent at all which I thought Artemisia vulgaris had quite a good scent

    Interesting @Silver surfer , how common names of plants vary so much.
    I've always known the one in your pictures, with the white daisy flowers, as feverfew (Tanacetum parthenium) and what I call Tansy (Tanacetum vulgare) has clusters of all-yellow button-like flowers.
    Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained

    Common names are totally useless when looking for the ID of a plant. We can only rely on botanical/Latin names. ;)
