Anyone been to RHS Tatton 2022

Just looking for opinions whether its worth a visit they is still some tickets available for Saturday .

    It looks popular if the heavy traffic on the M6 today is anything to go buy. For info, there is a lot of roadworks in Knutsford at the moment.

    ooo, I loved this front garden on GW. Gorg planting. If I had some sun at the front I would try this. I'm not a great fan of grasses in small gardens, but they look good here. I do love block colour.

    I liked the look of that one on GW too @Fire. I'm looking forward to seeing all the front gardens and small space ideas especially, I've got a bit of an awkward front garden project and need some inspiration... (one of many projects of course)...

    @Perki it's a few years since l've been to Tatton (and it chucked it down !), but l say go.
    The chores can wait, and winter will be here soon enough. 
    Take photos and post some on here, pretty please  :)

    @Fire Sadly, no - Hartside is further North, near Alston in Cumbria.
    We are just inside the Peak District National Park. The 400M contour line runs across the middle of the garden, which is on a steeply sloping hillside, so a significant difference in altitude between top and bottom. Our nearest town is several miles away, all downhill and they can grow things that we can't and their growing season is longer.
    I don't yet know how much climate change is going to affect the garden. We had a very warm, early spring here, which is lovely, but what comes after is unreliable, so you can't depend on it and take advantage of an early start. This year many plants stalled because of the heat and lack of water, but next year they could be wiped out by floods, or the needle might swing the other way and give us a very cold winter.
    We used to expect that and always stocked up the pantry and prepared fuel etc in case we were snowed in for any length of time. We haven't had such a snowfall for a number of years now, but the 'extreme weather events' pattern means we can't altogether rule it out. Neither can we now rely on a 'typical' cool, wet summer and trying to live and garden here has become even more of a challenge than it was already!
