Wow, you have my sympathy @Buttercupdays - 2 weeks without piped water is unthinkable.  There are some villages around here that have been without water for almost a week, though not us so far thankfully

My water butts are not yet completely empty, but the taps are!
We are beginning our third week without piped water, following many weeks without significant rainfall, so no backup from the domestic supply.
Where do you live? Hint: fill your profile in, it makes your posts much more relevant.
    Or even irrelevant........

It's a good test of adaptability and resilience! Only the second time it has happened in 38 years living here and we were ready for it, so stopped using water before the tank up the hill was completely empty.
So we have had the luxury of a tiny dribble of water to wash hands and dishes and wet a flannel for a lick and a promise. Our water is lovely and always icy cold (and free!) and bottled water seems a poor substitute. And we all feel (and  probably are) smelly and in dire need of a shower, but not possible yet.  A borehole has just moved to the top of our list of priorities :)

The browning around the edges could just be a bit of wind or sunburn borgadr. I only have two potted plants that need rainwater but since we haven’t had any decent rain since, ooh, November, they’ve been getting my very hard well water with a bit of iron now and then. The camellia is fine, the purple loropetalum is no longer purple but it’s alive.

Still, useful to have the location in the header.

I water with tap water plus ericaceous feed. Seems to be ok when rainwater has run out.
