Lawn Problem identification plz

Hi everyone

I just joined so I hope I have posted this in the correct place.

I have been gardening for over 40 years and this one stumped me!

I have a lawn problem which looks like a mould problem.

Sure it's not red thread.

I have no pets so it's not urine.
I have no leatherjackets.

the only Fungicide in the UK seems to be sold out everywhere

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Provanto-Disease-Control-Fungicide-Green/dp/B07MQ7BDKH

It's a 2-year-old lawn from seed but last autumn it developed patches in the middle of the lawn which did clear up by late spring.

But as you can see from the pictures it has reappeared far worse.
It looks as though I can spread it by walking on it?

have fed it in the hope this helps

Any help would be good.

Thanks, steve

Hello Castaway. Could your lawn be deficient in nitrogen or iron. These deficiencies can cause yellow spots. Excessive heat can also have the same reaction. Here is a link that may help:

    Hi Ladybird

it has been treated with this so I don't think it is the problem.

I have 4 other lawns all of which are looking fantastic

    Is @MrMow about? … he’ll probably know …

My first thought would be dollar spot, by the photos.

Dollar spot likes hungry grass and moist wet surfaces that are watered in the evening, so humid damp conditions overnight and hungry turf.

And yes it can spread on foot traffic, but only to turf under the same conditions.

You need to be up very early in the morning to check, the tale tale signs will be a white mycelium on the sward and a slight cob web appearance to the sward, an hour later it will not show ,apart from the damage you may see in the photos.

So cut out late night watering , and get a little feed on if the weather conditions change. You do not always need to reach for a fungicide ,change the conditions of the problem.

I never knew retirement would be so busy.

Thank you for the advice,I think you are right as i am sure I have seen the white you are referring to.
