Crazy paving

I'd like to get rid of crazy paving and create flower beds instead.  Any ideas welcome

    Break up and remove the paving along with any hard core.  Fork over or take a mattock to what lies below as it will be compacted and fairly lifeless  as wel as impenetrable to roots then, depending on its condition, import some top soil and/or soil improver such as well-rotted compost and manure from a reputable source and fork that in. 

    Let it settle then add some more soil improver in a general layer and plant according to your taste and local climate and soil acidity or alkalinity.

    It'll be hard work but worth doing well.

    Don't forget the before, during and after pics and holler if you need help with choosing plants.
