Help needed

hi guys I’m in need of some desperate help as you know this heatwave today was 40c today I watered my plants especially my hydrangeas and salvias but I’ve just come home and they look like shrivelled up badly all the leaves is there anything I can do to help them or are they dead now

I'd say highly unlikely they're dead.
They might well sulk for a while. Keep up the watering and be patient.

Try giving them another good long watering tonight as the temperature drops, aiming at root level.  They should pick up overnight.  I’m going out into my garden in about an hour’s time to do this!

They’ll be fine once you water them again - plants wilt in hot weather as a defence mechanism to conserve water.

They look how I feel … they’ll recover and so will I. Give them lots of water. I’m just going to have a cool shower 💦
