    It looks like himalayan balsam ..... a great plant for honey bees.
    I can always tell when our bees have been foraging on the balsam as they come back to their hives covered in pollen and looking like little white ghosts.

    Himalayan balsam … an incredibly invasive species doing a lot of damage in the environment, especially to riverbanks. 


    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

    I totally agree. 
    As pretty as it is, I'd do my utmost to remove it ASAP

    It spreads like wildfire … it catapults it’s seeds over 6ft walls … at our last house the chap next door planted one … in three years it was in nearly every garden in the street .., I was constantly pulling seedlings out of our garden. His landlord was livid … it had completely taken over his garden … they had to get landscapers to clear and pave and gravel it before he could let it again.

    They are Lilies. 
    Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.
