Is this geum?
I have a sunny garden but in an area that gets more shade than the rest I am seeing plants that look like this...among a lot of garlic mustard.

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
I grow alchemilla mollis in borders as I love to see the rain on its leaves. If you pull the whole flowering stem away just as it’s going brown and tatty looking you don’t get a lot of self seeding. I’ve also got plants in shady areas which get floppy they respond well to a ground level haircut.
I am gutted. I was hoping that if it was a geum it was one of the trendy RHS merit ones. But thank you for alerting me to both plants being invasive. That said, Bilje I too noticed how my tatty ...in entirely the wrong place ...single alchemilla mollis' leaves look with the rain on them. I have (hopefully) rescued and transplanted it into my rookie rockery and hopefully once it takes I can give it a good ground level cut. I hope this is the one with with the frothy lime green flowers.
