Buddleja Globosa - Potential Disease

Hi all, our buddleja globosa appears to be struggling again this summer. The plant has been in the ground for 2 years now and a similar thing happened the same time last year. The plant goes from vigorous, healthy growth to the leaves turning a patchy yellow/white colour, eventually drying and curling up before falling off. The plant itself is mostly in the shade until early evening, we water it when the soil is dry ensuring only to water the base. Is anyone able to shed some light on the issue, and how to resolve it? I think the problem is location - it needs to be in a sunny position with fewer competing plants around it. Being close to a fence and shaded by other plants it will not be getting enough water when it rains. I'd try to find a sunnier more open location for it but don't move it until early autumn. In the meantime, clear the area around the base of the plant, enrich the soil with some organic material such as garden compost and keep it well watered. You could also try a foliar feed of diluted seaweed extract which will act as a tonic. I've just noticed that this is your first post - Welcome to the forum!
