Sorry it looks like texas heat coming to uk

Here in texas we are having a very hot summer.  It isn't unheard of and no records but hotter than the last ten years.  It looks like it's coming to the uk.  Sorry

It's already arrived here. With respect, you can have it. I want to go back to cool and wet.

You'll love the forecast for August!

Hi, James! Just bracing ourselves for Monday and Tuesday which are forecast to be scorchers. Our garden seems to be coping, but OH and I have been adjusting our daily routines to avoid being outside in the worst of the heat. Presumably you are already acclimatised to these high temperatures?

I find it very hard to cope in the heat as does my hubby who suffers from sickle cell. It was during a heatwave in Germany a few years ago that his nephew passed away in his early forties due to a sickle cell attack bought on by the heat.
Luckily we have a basement which is always cooler and is where we will be hiding!

That’s awful, WonkyWomble. I didn’t know attacks could be triggered by heat. Keep hubby in the basement, and stay safe!

Normally when we get these high extremes we cop it from the Sahara. It'll make a change for it to come from Texas. I'm trusting Texas wont be sending shed loads of it's desert over like the Sahara likes to do.

I think our heatwave is coming from southern Europe annoyingly as I can already see a layer of orange dust on my car AGAIN - every few weeks it seems to be happening now.
I'm dreading it - 20C is just about right for me 40C is just plain silly and there's never even a slight breeze when we have a heatwave.
    Roll on November 😁
