Sweet peas white layer on them

Hi can anyone tell me what's on my sweet pea plants? It's been slowly getting worse, it doesn't seem to be harming them.

Powdery mildew … sweet peas are particularly susceptible to it when they’ve been stressed by drought at the roots.
Lots of water will help them survive it. 🤞

Oddly eough bearing in mind its been way up in the very high 20s here, cannot remember the last time we had rain, my sweet peas arent too bad this year, normally yes, I dont worry about it, if they are still producing nice scented flowers. Its normally the courgettes that suffer, and yes they are, I have tried with a small success, spaying the foliage with a solution of 50% water/milk. You can get proprietory sprays, but like most folk on here, not keen on anything other than "natural", and they of course cost money.
