Uses for leftover sedum mats?

We had a sedum roof installed and have salvaged leftover sedum mats from the skip! Break up into smaller plants to make a decorative pot, find somewhere sunny and just lay in the clay soil? Any ideas appreciated.

    Small shed roof, wheelie bin roof, gravel area, alpine trough? Could even try making a living door wreath ...

    They are happiest in well drained, light sandy/gravelly soil. In containers they do need watering.

    There's always Freecycle or similar websites if you can't use it.
    Can I ask some questions about the mats though? I've been doing some personal research on the stuff and first hand experience would be useful. I'm assuming a company provided this but did they select a specific plant mix for your location or do they just use generic mats everywhere? Do you know where the mats came from originally? I've seen that a lot of green-roof matting is imported from Europe and I was wondering if that's now still the case after Brexit? Apparently some interesting insects may have been imported along with the mats and a few studies are looking into that. In one case a species in the UK was slowly declining but seems to have been boosted by increased genetic diversity from introduced insects.

    If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

    @Fire- thanks for the suggestions

    @wild edges- The mats are grown in the UK about 30mins from our home.  We are coastal, and we were told that has a baring on the mix of sedum they use. Freecycle is a good call if we can't use what is left. thanks.
