Shrub ID please

UffUff Posts: 3,199
Visiting a friend this morning I noticed this distinctive shrub. She inherited it when she bought the house but doesn't know what it is. Neither do I so can someone give me an ID please so that I can pass it on to her. She's lived there for 7 years so it's fairly slow growing.

It's about 4ft plus high and about 3ft across, has a semi weeping habit, deciduous and a small pink flower around about now.

I asked her to forward a full view of it. The flowers are small and pink when in bloom.

It reminds me of Corylopsis pauciflora.
BUT ....that has small yellow flowers in spring before the leaves.
    One of my favourite shrubs.

I thought so too @Silver surfer.
Is your friend sure about the colour of the flowers @Uff?
    It's very attractive foliage.
