    @samantha.elaine.jones Just wondered if your second photo was a Leucothoe there is one called L fontanesiana it likes an acid soil. You can see them dried out in pots and in the garden. The leaves take on an even rusty colour when they are dead. 
    I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.
