arum lily

We have an arum lily in our fish pond and it has gone mad. How can I cut it back without killing it.
Should I prune it in some way or  try and divide it and put half of it somewhere else ?

    If you lift it in winter, you'll find it'll break into lots of smaller pieces very easily.
