The world of Nemesia..

Having gotten quite into these funky plants, I was wondering when do you look to collect the seeds? And what am I looking for? The nemesia I have are annuals as opposed to the perennial variant.

Also, which are the most fragrant ones?

I have not tried to collect the seeds yet but I grow these as perennials here in the South-East, I have had these Nemesia in this bed for 2 years. They look a bit scraggly after winter but I cut out all the dead bits and they bounce back after Spring.

The Whites are ‘Wisley Vanilla’ and there’s a ‘Pink Mixed’. I can’t remember  the purple at the back’s  name but it’s new to the bed this year.

I collect seeds from mine every year,  I sow them as you would Lobelia then prick them out in little groups.
When they’re ready for collection they turn pale brown papery looking, and are like a purse shape.
I can take of photo tomorrow to show you what you need to collect.

Very easy to collect seeds and grow. As said above, wait till the pods are brown and collect. I put mine in little brown paper money envelopes.
Mine used to drop from the raised beds and grow everywhere below.

Not sure on the most fragrant, as I don't remember their names, but I have a palenpink and white one, with a yellow middle. That was very fragrant in the evening.

This is what they look like when they’re ready for collecting,  be careful when you pick them there’s dozens of seeds in one little head.  I find it easier to cut the whole stem back, holding it upright.  If you keep dead heading, they’ll keep blooming,  mine  bloom  through winter.
sorry it’s blurred , the winds blowing.

That's the state of 1 of Nemesia now, not even started forming seed pods
