Mini pond

Hello everyone. This is my first post. I'd like to add a small pond for wildlife to my garden but we are already plagued with mosquitoes. We live in northern Italy, not far from Venice. Anybody know a natural way to eliminate the mosquito larvae without harming other creatures that may use the water? I never hear about this aspect on UK gardening programmes or sites. Guess you don't have the same conditions as we do eg. it very rarely snows here (US Hardy Zone 9). I have stopped using chemicals in the garden and was hoping for a more "biological" and sustainable solution. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Depending on the size, get a pump for water flow and oxygen, try adding mosquito fish, guppies as I think you could get away with them in Italy

    Not sure I can make it big enough for fish. The neighbours have lots of cats too. Thank you for those ideas though.
