What is this perennial?

A clump-forming perennial, just finishing its flowering period. The flower head is 3ins/7-8cms long, and the whole plant is roughly 30ins/76cms in height. I should know it, but just cannot remember what it is.

Looks like an ornamental Clover, maybe Trifolium rubens
