Asiatic Lilies

At the back end of last year I decided to divide my lilies, I split the clump into three , leaving the original clump insitu.
I replanted the other two clumps.
My question, should I have seen some growth by now?
None of the clumps are showing, therefore have I committed Lily genocide?

    My lilies are currently in bud or almost finished. Majority are in pots but next year I’m hoping to introduce them to the ground to cut down on watering. I think if they haven’t shown up at all then it doesn’t look like good news. Have you tried digging up to see?

    Those I have in the ground suffer badly from slugs.  They chew them off as they emerge.

    Good Morning gardeners,
    I haven't made an exploratory dig because I wasn't sure if they were just late runners and riders 

    I don't think slugs are the problem because the reason for the split was because they were thriving.
    Thanks for suggestions I will wait while August and take a peek.

    When you say split, what exactly did you do?

    Hello punkdoc,
    I gently teased them apart and covered up the original clump which you would have thought would come up again this year because all I have done is reduce it in size.
    The other two clumps just planted.
     I promise I didn't give them a good thrashing with the spade, I treated them with respect.
