senecio & clematis co-existing

Hi I'm new to the forum and in much need of advice please.
I'm a budding gardener helping a neighbour and this is the problem.
A big Senecio plant has been growing well at the bottom of a fence in a full sun area of the garden, but behind the senecio, growing up the fence, are clematis and passionflower plants which need feeding & regular water.  I have been feeding the clematis and now the senecio has developed orange spot fungus.
Would it be better to remove the senecio and transplant to another dry sunny spot and can I do that now or would it be better to wait until the autumn/spring? As senecio is a succulent, I'm assuming it won't co-exist happily with the clematis if fed/watered too much!!
Thank you in advance.

@strongarm1602 I don't know where you are in the country. Here I would class it as tender, after a wet winter  you can will have is a soggy mess. Moving any plant at this time of year is a risk even if it likes dry conditions. To move a mature plant is even more of a risk.
Yes you could wait until Autumn then you could have issues with trying to establish it over the winter months. I don't think I can advise you the best way, whatever you do may not result in a positive outcome.
Sorry I did see your post yesterday but was unable to come back to you.Welcome!

  • Based in N Wales. It survived the winter well, we’re close to the sea so have quite mild temps all it required was a  trim and tidy up 🤩 now after cutting off all affected leaves there’s not much of it left🙁

If there isn't much left perhaps it is time to move it to fresh compost in a pot and hope it might survive.  If it only has a few leaves the roots will have a better chance.
