Can I keep Akebia Quinata permanently in a pot, and if so how large must pot be?

You can, but how happy it will be is another matter. In the soil, I have to keep hacking one back to keep it under control.

As
@fidgetbones
says it wont be happy in a pot. Does that mean that you only have the space for it in a pot? It can get very big.

This will give you an idea of a happy akebia.

Yes ... we need to do something about it, but too many other projects at the moment. Picture 2 is the back and side of the shed by the way.
I guess it is the fault of the owner who hasn't kept it in order. 🤦🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️
