What is burrowing around the roots of my newish box hedge???

and is it damaging the roots and if so how do i stop it???

Not sure what it is but I think the roots of your box will be fine.
I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.

Yes! I think they're voles. They're all over the beds. Guess i've just got to put up with it and hope they don't damage the younf hedge - or that the local barn owls recycle them.
