Ideas what this could be?

Growing large, bushy and with a fairly thick stem. I’m assuming it was intentionally planted as it’s right in the middle of my planter, but it does not look like anything else( ie dahlia  or low bedding plants)….
Marne la vallée, basically just outside Paris 🇫🇷, but definitely Scottish at heart.

    I thought R coulteria but something isn't right.
    I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.

    Does not smell of anything. 
    Hope it’s not the tree poppy….way to big to live happily in that raised planter (pretty though).

    R coulteria can come up through floorboards so it has to be controlled even in a garden.
    I seem to think it has an unpleasent smell? I did grow it many years ago so my thoughts are a bit vague.
    I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.
