Ash, or elder?

    Sorry to say but it's probably going to get Ash dieback.  
    Based in Sussex, I garden to encourage as many birds to my garden as possible.

    Agreed.  Elder.  The leaves look wrong for ash.

    @nick615 I think you’re confusing the two photographs. 😊 

    The original poster’s photograph of a sapling in a pot is an ash … Fraxinus excelsior. 

    The photograph posted by @Uff (posted for comparison) is an elder … Sambucus niger.
