Two photos of plants I’ve recently seen and I’m struggling to identify. Any help most appreciated.

    I'd say they are Mallow (Lavatera) and Hebe.

    Yes, I’d agree that is what they are.

    I think the paler L Barnsley is a better colour but that is a personal choice. They can get woody and they are also short lived.
    There are so many different purple Hebes they will all grow to different sizes. 
    I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.
