How do I support my melons?

    My immediate thought was 'Oooh matron!' too.  I don't grow melons but all the above suggestions seem sensible.  What about old t-shirts?  Can be cut up with strips for tying and nice and soft for the melons.
    Gardening in East Suffolk on dry sandy soil.

    Thanks all for the suggestions . I have two plants so will try one lot resting on wood and the other one tied up and supported with tights. 
    Really hoping to get some fruit

    Joking aside, I think there’s merit in trying an old bra.  Probably at least a EE and not underwired as the wire could get hot and damage the melon.
